Fantastisch Kinderfilm Festival (now Taartrovers Filmfestival) wanted a new animator to bring their drawings to life. There was no real brief, just a poster I was given. I wanted to create a world which the kids could venture into. With limited time and no contact with the illustrator, I decided to give the landscape depth and to let a camera take the viewer along.
